Irene Isaac named Tesda OIC
PRESIDENT Benigno Aquino III on Thursday appointed an officer in charge of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) after he has accepted the resignation of Joel Villanueva.
Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa said Aquino accepted the resignation effective last Monday, October 13.
Ochoa announced that the President has approved the designation of Irene M. Isaac, Deputy Director General for Policies and Planning, as office in charge of Tesda.
“The President likewise approved the designation of Ms. Irene M. Isaac, Deputy Director General for Policies and Planning, as Officer-in-Charge of the agency in order to avoid the disruption in the rendition of essential government services and to ensure continuity of vital programs, projects and activities of TESDA,” Ochoa said in a statement.
Villanueva tendered his resignation on October 9 ahead of the filing of certificates of candidacy. He is running as senator under the Liberal Party of the administration.
