Call it the season of “out-of-the-box” personalities just before election fever starts.

The filing of certificates of candidacy (COCs) brings out “unusual” personalities who troop to the Commission on Elections to file their COCs for the 2016 elections.

Comelec chairman Andres Bautista said the number of aspiring candidates this year is higher than the usual.

Bautista, however, said this may be trimmed down as others may just be nuisance candidates.
