Cop nabbed for firing gun

A policeman assigned at the Police Regional Office (PRO7) was arrested yesterday  after he allegedly fired his service firearm into the air twice, alarming his neighbors.

SPO1 Edward Seno is now detained at the Fuente police precinct.

Investigation showed that Seno, a resident of Visitacion Street in barangay Sambag Dos, had an argument with Jenelyn Navaja, his live-in-partner for over a year, last Friday.

Navaja was irate after Seno went home drank.

She also confronted Seno on reports that he would often have another woman ride his motorcycle.

After their argument and while Seno slept, Navaja took the policeman’s gun “for safekeeping”.

When Seno woke up, he went to the Fuente Police to accuse Navaja of stealing his firearm.

Navaja returned Seno’s firearm after she was invited to the police precinct for questioning.

At about 9 a.m. yesterday, the couple had another argument and Seno allegedly fired his gun into the air twice.

Neighbors called up the Sambag Dos barangay hall to report the incident.

Barangay tanod Paulo Taneo who responded to the incident later called police for assistance. /Correspondent Chito O. Aragon
