THE LIBERAL Party-led Daang Matuwid Coalition last night said it decided to move Friday’s scheduled announcement of its senatorial lineup to Monday, its third postponement.
In a statement, it said the decision of MMDA Chair Francis Tolentino to drop out of the LP coalition was the reason for the postponement.
The party said this would also give Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista, another senatorial hopeful, “additional time for reflection and to consult with his family.”
“We believe this additional time for discernment is in the best interest of the parties and candidates concerned,” the LP said.
“The presentation of the official senatorial slate… will therefore be on Monday, Oct. 12,” it added.
