Aquino certifies 2016 national budget as urgent

PRESIDENT Benigno Aquino III has heeded the call of lawmakers and certified as urgent the proposed general appropriations act for 2016.

“PLLO (Presidential Legislative Liaison Office) Sec. (Manuel) Mamba confirms that, as requested by the House leadership, the President has certified as urgent the approval of the proposed national budget for 2016,” Communications Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. said in a text message to media.
