Amid continued flight delays and cancellation, budget airline Cebu Pacific Air (CEB) on Saturday announced that a round trip flight from Manila bound for Singapore was cancelled Saturday, Oct. 3.
“CEB cancelled one round trip flight for today, October 3, 2015: 5J 813/814 Manila – Singapore – Manila,” CEB said in an advisory Saturday morning.
Saying that flight delays are still expected throughout the day, the airlines also appealed to passengers for more patience and understanding amid an ongoing operations system upgrade which started on Thursday.
“We sincerely hope for our passengers’ understanding as we expect some flight delays throughout the day. We continue to monitor the situation and we will provide updates as they are available,” CEB said.
In a statement on Friday, CEB apologized to its passengers for inconvenience as “issues in the course of the upgrade” had been preventing them from dispatching flights on time.

The Manila International Airport Authority said about 6,000 passengers were affected after their CEB flights were delayed on Friday due to prolonged maintenance of aircraft, change of aircraft, and technical glitch. IDL
