Estrada suspends classes, work in Manila
Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada announced on TV early Friday that classes in all levels, both in public and private schools, in his city are suspended due to expected bad weather brought by Tropical Storm “Kabayan.”
Estrada also said that he was suspending work in the City Hall and other public offices in the city, except for those involved in relief and rescue operations.
The state weather bureau on Thursday evening placed Metro Manila under storm signal No. 1, as well as placed it under yellow rainfall warning early Friday morning.
