Davao Sur town mayor dies from fall at  copra stockroom

DIGOS CITY – Mayor Jaime Caminero of Kiblawan, Davao del Sur, died Sunday evening after suffering a fall from a stack of copra at his family-owned warehouse in Kiblawan town earlier in the day.

Caminero was personally inspecting his copra stock late Sunday when he fell head first several feet down to the ground, a report from the town police said.

The 72-year-old town executive was brought to Davao City for medical treatment but died around 9:45 p.m., the report added.
