President Benigno Aquino III has appointed a new general manager and chief executive officer for the National Housing Authority (NHA).

Sinforoso Pagunsan will serve from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016, according to appointment papers signed by Aquino last September 11 and released to the media on Thursday.
He will replace Chito Cruz, whose term ended last July.
Before his appointment, Pagunsan was Cruz’s chief of staff.
Pagunsan is a lawyer who ranked ninth in the 1989 bar examinations.
He received his law degree from the Ateneo de Manila University and his Master of Science in Economics degree from De La Salle University. Kristine Angeli Sabillo/RAM
