Avoid eastern Visayan, Mindanao seas—Pagasa

Jenny track

Tropical storm Jenny (Dujuan) kept its strength as it moved slowly over the Philippine Sea, the state weather bureau said midday Thursday.

The storm packed maximum sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 100 kph, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said at 11 a.m.

It continued to move north-northeast at 7kph.

The storm’s last track was 1,200 kilometers east of Aparri, Cagayan.

Jenny is expected to exit the Philippine area of responsibility Monday morning.

Moderate to heavy rains are seen within the storm’s 600 kilometer diameter.

Fisher folk are advised not to venture out over the eastern seaboards of Visayas and of Mindanao due to gale force winds spawned by Jenny and the southwest monsoon, Pagasa said.
