Thousands of Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) members will gather at the Philippine Arena in Sta. Maria, Bulacan, on Saturday for “the largest evangelical mission in the history of the church.”

The tollway operator said traffic would be heavy at the North Luzon Expressway (NLEx).

Edwil Zabala, INC spokesman, said it was difficult to estimate the exact number of attendees, but he had no doubt that the 50,000-seat multipurpose indoor arena in Ciudad de Victoria would be filled.

During the event, INC leaders will discuss the congregation’s faith based on the teachings of the Bible. They will not bring up politics or touch on any controversy affecting the INC, Zabala stressed.

The mission will start at 7 p.m. and may last for about one and a half hours.
