DZMM host, 3 others released

DZMM host and lawyer Clarissa “Claire” Castro was released from detention at the Manila Police Department (MPD) at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

Castro, guest host for DZMM’s evening program “Usapang de Campanilla,” was detained for multiple charges of slander by deed, direct assault and obstruction of justice filed against her by PO3 Marlyn Remetio.

Castro’s partner Charlton Seechung, secretary Jonalyn Montoya, and client Jackson Chua Jr. who were also detained have also been released.

Castro was slapped with slander case after she allegedly went hysterical as she questioned the legality of Chua’s arrest Tuesday evening at the MPD-Women and Children’s Desk.
