The state weather bureau issued a thunderstorm advisory in Metro Manila and nearby provinces on Monday afternoon.
“All are advised to take precautionary measures against heavy rains, strong winds, lightning and possible flash floods,” the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in an advisory at 5p.m.
The thunderstorm is affecting Bulacan (Paombong, Hagonoy, Calumpit), Pampanga (Masantol, Macabebe, portion of Sulipan and Minalin), Metro Manila, Batangas, western Laguna and portion of Cavite.
This may last within two hours.
An intertropical convergence zone is affecting Visayas and Mindanao which will bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rains.
Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms will be experienced over Western Visayas, Caraga, and Northern Mindanao.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
