MANILA Water Co. Inc. said some of its customers would experience reduced water pressure at off-peak hours starting Monday to conserve water supply at Angat Dam due to the El Niño phenomenon which is characterized by lower than average rainfall.
The Ayala-led company said that beginning today, 155 barangays in Metro Manila and Rizal province would experience below normal water pressure between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.
The cities of Makati, Mandaluyong, Marikina, Pasig, Quezon City, San Juan, Taguig, Parañaque in Metro Manila; Antipolo City and the municipalities of Angono, Cainta and Taytay in Rizal province are among those that will experience reduced water pressure for up to seven hours daily. Consumers located in highly-elevated areas and farther away from facilities will be the most affected.
