Presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda on Friday launched an online campaign to convince Camarines Norte Rep. Leni Robredo to run for vice president in the 2016 elections.

Lacierda took to Facebook to share a photo of him jumping with the hashtag “#jumpwithleni.”

“I’ll jump with you, Leni,” he said.

A day after Senators Grace Poe and Francis Escudero made their 2016 tandem official, Robredo on Friday morning confirmed that Liberal Party standard-bearer Mar Roxas formally asked her to be his running mate in next year’s presidential polls, but added that she has yet to decide on the offer.

In an earlier Facebook post, Lacierda also called the widow of late Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo as a “nice, smart, honorable lady who now stands at a crossroad.”

“In the US, WWJD stands for What Would Jesus Do? In the Philippines… WWJD can very well mean What Would Jesse Do?” Lacierda said.

Quoting Chinese-American cellist Yo-Yo Ma, Lacierda added: “Things can fall apart, or threaten to, for many reasons, and then there’s got to be a leap of faith. Ultimately, when you’re at the edge, you have to go forward or backward; if you go forward, you have to jump together.”

Robredo on Thursday posted a photo of her late husband on Facebook with the caption: “Can I use lifeline just for today?”
