Aquino: Poe assured me she will never speak ill of me during campaign

President Benigno Aquino III on Thursday revealed that Senator Grace Poe texted him the night before she announced her decision to run as president in the 2016 elections.

He said the text was quite “long” and was sent at 10 p.m. on Tuesday.

“Sabi niya, darating tayo sa kampanya kung saan makakarating sa kampo mo na inaatake kita; never ko gagawin yun,” he said, referring to Poe.

(She said that there will come a time during the campaign when his camp will hear rumors that she is attacking him. I will never do that.)

According to Aquino, who spoke to media after his five-minute speech on the controversial Mamasapano operation, Poe explained her decision and intentions. She also promised some things, which the President did not elaborate on. JE
