4,048 out of 4,840 pass September 2015 MedTech board exam

A total of 4,048 out of 4,840 passed the September 2015 Medical Technologist Licensure Exam given by Board of Medical Technology in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao and Lucena, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Thursday.

The results were released three days after the examination.

Three students topped the exam: El Marie Tuazon Salunga (Angeles University Foundation), Jonan Michael Tan Soriano (Far Eastern University—Manila), and Brylle Domerson Mendoza Turalba (Saint Louis University), who all scored 90.70 percent.

Meanwhile, three schools posted 100 percent passing rate in the said examination: Saint Louis University, Cebu Doctors’ University and Cagayan State University—Andrews Campus.

The PRC said that those who failed to pass the board examination but obtained a general rating of at least 70 percent can register as Medical Laboratory Technician.

The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony for the successful examinees will be announced on a later date, PRC said. AJH/RAM
