Poe camp confirms ‘important announcement’ set for Sept. 16

Senator Grace Poe will make an “important announcement” on Wednesday in connection with the 2016 elections, a statement from her office said on Tuesday.

“Sen. Grace Poe will make an important announcement in connection with her plans for the 2016 National Elections,” the statement said.

The announcement, it said, will be made at 6 p.m. at the Bahay ng Alumni in the University of the Philippines, Diliman Quezon City.

Various sources have earlier said that Poe will announce on Wednesday her presidential bid next year. Maila Ager/IDL
