Light to moderate rains with isolated thunderstorms triggered by the southwest monsoon will be experienced by most parts of the country, the state weather bureau said on Friday.

In its 24-hour weather forecast issued at 5 a.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the southwest monsoon was affecting southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

“Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of the country.”

Pagasa added that North and Central Luzon will experience light to moderate winds blowing from northeast to northwest, and from southwest to west for the rest of the country.
