The 48-year-old father of three won P16 million after he picked the winning numbers in the Sept. 3 draw of the Super Lotto 6/49 draw. The sole winner picked the number combination at random.

Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) vice chair and general manager Jose Ferdinand Rojas II said that the winner still could not believe his luck when he claimed his prize on Tuesday at the agency’s head office in Mandaluyong City.

Rojas said that the winner intended to quit his job and return to his home province and start a piggery business with his wife.

The winner’s other plans include buying a house for his family while putting away some of his winnings for his children’s education and future needs.

Rojas on Thursday called on the public to continue supporting the PCSO’s games, noting that not only do these change the lives of winners, they also help out people in need of medical assistance.
