The National Police Commission has recommended the promotion of four senior police officials to star rank, including the Philippine National Police’s comptroller.
Chief Supt. Danilo Pelisco, the acting director for comptrollership, is now a two-star police general with the rank of director after the Napolcom vouched for his promotion to President Aquino.
The agency also recommended the promotion to one star rank, or to chief superintendent, three other senior police officials who currently hold the rank of senior superintendent.
These are: Senior Supt. Edward Carranza, acting deputy director, Special Action Force; Senior Supt. Samuel Sylim, acting deputy director, Civil Security Group; and Senior Supt. Eduardo Serapio Garado, acting deputy regional director for administration for the Calabarzon police regional office (PRO).
Napolcom vice-chairman Eduardo U. Escueta said the agency made the recommendations following the certification issued by the now retired PNP officer in charge and Dep. Dir. Gen. Leonardo Espina that the senior police officials met all the requirements for promotion.
Meanwhile, the Napolcom also recommended the promotion of eight police officials with the rank of superintendent to the higher rank of senior superintendent.
They are: Supt. Adriano Enong, Jr., acting chief, regional operations and plans division of the Central Luzon PRO; Supt. Leonidas Castillo, acting chief, regional headquarters support group of the Bicol PRO; Supt. Reynaldo Padulla, acting chief, regional investigation and detective management division of the Northern Mindanao PRO; Supt. Antony Maghari, acting chief, RIDMD of the Caraga PRO; Supt. Constancio Chinayog, Jr., acting chief, ROPD of the Cordillera PRO; Supt. Siegfredo Ramos, Jr., acting chief, ROPD of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao PRO; Supt.
