A body of a man was found in a creek by residents in Quezon City Sunday morning.
The case investigator, PO2 Jim Barayuga, said the still unidentified victim was found by residents floating on Lagarian Creek in Barangay Roxas at around 7:30 a.m. Sunday.
Barayuga said that the victim had a wound on his head and was only wearing blue pants when he was fished out of the creek. He added that the victim could have been hit with a hard object, which led to his injury. There were also no signs that the victim, who had no tattoos, was strangled.
Police have not identified the victim — possibly a security guard because of the look of his belt — since no identification cards were found in his possession and residents in the area did not recognize him.
Barayuga said they have been awaiting autopsy results to find out what killed the victim, whose body was not bloated at the time he was found.
