A 44-year-old woman was shot dead while her husband sustained gunshot wounds after unidentified men fired at them inside their house in Caloocan City on Friday.
According to the police report, Marites Torres and Rex Torres, 43, were sitting inside their living room when neighbors heard successive gunshots around 7:20 p.m., at Brilliant View in Barangay 171.
Marites died on the spot while Rex was being treated at Novaliches District Hospital.
Later recovered at the scene were four deformed slugs and one fired cartridge of an unknown firearm.
As of this writing, the police said they were still identifying and looking for the suspects and their motive for the killing.
