Heard on Radyo Inquirer 990AM: Chief prober on Abaya’s strafing of van

Jose Maria Abaya has two registered firearms but the one he used on Tuesday was not licensed to him. Abaya told investigators that the van was following him and the passengers were carrying long firearms. But the van was carrying ordinary passengers. You can’t say that Abaya is not in his right mind because he answers coherently when you talk to him. And the fact that he surrendered to the police means that he was aware of what he did.—Chief Insp.
