A construction worker was wounded after he was shot by motorcycle-riding men outside a store near his house in Pasay City on Tuesday.
Romanito Albano, 43, sustained a gunshot wound in the left leg and was rushed to Pasay City General Hospital where he remained under observation.
Case investigator SPO2 Genomar Geraldino said witnesses told probers the victim was buying cigarettes from a store around 2:30 a.m. in Don Carlos Village subdivision when two men on a motorcycle came by and shot him twice.
The gunmen who were both wearing helmets and black jackets immediately escaped. Geraldino said they were still trying to determine the motive for the shooting since the victim and his family claimed he has no known enemies in the neighborhood and at the construction company where he works.
