Did you know: Honasan-led coup try vs Cory Aquino

On Aug. 28, 1987, a coup attempt against then President Corazon Aquino took place in at least eight areas, including Camp Aguinaldo. Led by then Lt. Col. Gregorio Honasan, it involved more than 2,000 military personnel. At least 50 people—40 of them soldiers—were killed.–Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
