NGCP, in an advisory, said the entire franchise area of the Mt. Province Electric Cooperative (Mopreco) would also experience a 12-hour power interruption on Friday.

NGCP said the power cut-off was necessary for the commissioning and energization of a new 300 MVA power transformer and other associated equipment at the La Trinidad (Benguet) substation and simultaneous with line maintenance of the La Trinidad–Sagada 69kV line.

“Normal operations will immediately resume after work completion. NGCP customers and the general public are advised to take the necessary preparations and precautions for this scheduled interruption,” it said. RC
