The weather bureau tracked a low pressure area (LPA) forming near Eastern Samar on Thursday afternoon.
The LPA was at 415 kilometers east of Guian, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
Aldczar Aurelio, weather forecaster, said the LPA has a small chance of intensifying into a tropical cyclone.
Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms will be experienced over Eastern Visayas.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms will prevail over the rest of the country.
Light to moderate winds blowing from the east to southeast will prevail over Luzon and coming from the northeast to northwest over the rest of the country.
The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate. Frances Mangosing/IDL
