Probe all pork barrel cases, SC pushed
President Aquino, Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales, Justice Secretary Leila de Lima, Budget Secretary Florencio Abad, Senate President Franklin Drilon and House Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr., are among the officials who must be investigated and charged for their alleged involvement in the misuse of public funds since 1991, a group said in their petition to the Supreme Court.
The group on Wednesday asked the Supreme Court to compel the Office of the Ombudsman and the Department of Justice to investigate and file complaints against the officials for anomalies connected to the pork barrel.
The authors, proponents and implementors of the controversial Disbursement Acceleration Program and many others linked to the Priority Development Assistance Program, have to be investigated or prosecuted, said the group composed of former Tarlac governor Margarita Cojuangco, former Manila councilor Greco Belgica, former Biliran Rep. Glenn Chong, lawyer Quintin San Diego, and pastor Jose L. Gonzales. Jerome Aning
