NPA runner nabbed at Davao checkpoint

DAVAO CITY — Police and military operatives arrested an alleged liaison officer of the New People’s Army (NPA) in Southern Mindanao at a checkpoint in Barangay Sirawan here on Saturday night.

Capt. Alberto Caber, spokesperson of the Eastern Mindanao Command (Eastmincom), said John Omega Nebris, alias Part, yielded a .45-caliber pistol, a fragmentation grenade, three mobile phones, 13 sim cards, P5,000 cash and personal belongings when arrested.

Caber said Nebris was detained at the Toril police station while the government prepared a case against him.
