Robber breaks into house of former Sen. Lacson’s son

The residence of ex-Senator Panfilo Lacson’s son in BF Homes Parañaque City was robbed early Saturday allegedly by their former painter.

Initial report from the Parañaque City police revealed that a robber broke into the house of 41-year-old Ronald Jay Lacson located at Block 4, Lot 4 Cypress Drive Menlo Park Subdivision, BF Homes around 4 a.m. and took the victim’s laptop, cellphone, and other personal belongings.

Parañaque City police chief Senior Supt. Ariel Andrade said the younger Lacson’s testimony revealed that when he went out of his bedroom to go to the comfort room, he noticed that someone was exiting their gate.

Andrade said Ronald Jay recognized him as one of the painters they hired two to three weeks ago and was identified as 39-year-old Julio San Lorenzo of CAA Compound in Las Piñas.

Upon seeing the suspect flee, the owner of the house claimed that he turned on all the lights of his house and found the living room in disarray and discovered that some valuables were missing.

Andrade said San Lorenzo was traced at his residence around 9 a.m. on Saturday and was invited for questioning at the Parañaque Police headquarters, along with four other workers who were previously hired for a paint job at the Lacson house.

“We will ask Mr. Lacson to identify if he (San Lorenzo) was really the one he saw leaving his residence,” explained Andrade.

Investigators also said that the suspect could have entered the house using the back gate of the residence, and then entered one of the windows.

Ronald Jay Lacson went head-to-head with Sen. Bong Revilla’s son Jolo for the Cavite vice governor post during the May 2013 elections but lost. JE
