2 teens killed in bike-van QC collision

Two teenagers died while six others were injured in a road collision between a motorcycle and a van in Novaliches, Quezon City, early on Friday.

Based on the account gathered by the police from the van’s driver, 21-year-old Karl Vincent Jude Baculina,  the motorcycle driver made a counterflow on Mindanao Avenue and hit the van around 3 a.m. in front of Brittany Subdivision.

The driver of the motorcycle, Hanzallah Domato, 16, was killed when he got dragged by the van and then pinned on a tree.

His two backriders, Abdul Dagalangit and Jamal Dave Disumimba, both also in their teens, were thrown off the bike. Dagalangit died while Disumimba sustained injuries.

Baculina and his four passengers in the van also sustained injuries and were brought to East Avenue Medical Center for treatment.

According to SPO1 Rabindranath Sierra of the Quezon City Police District’s Traffic Enforcement Unit Sector 2, Baculina is facing charges for reckless imprudence resulting in damage to property with multiple homicide and multiple physical injuries. Erika Sauler
