In its 11 pm bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the eye of “Ineng” was located east of Calayan island in Cagayan province.
The typhoon has maximum sustained winds of 170 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 205 kph, Pagasa said. The estimated rainfall amount is from moderate to heavy within the 600 km diameter of the typhoon.
It is forecast to remain stationary for the next 12 hours.
Public storm warning signal no.3 is raised in Batanes Group of Islands, Northern Cagayan including Babuyan and Calayan Group of Islands.
For the next 24 hours, Signal No. 2 is raised in the rest of Cagayan, Northern Isabela, Kalinga, Apayao, Abra and Ilocos Norte provinces.
Signal No. 1 is up in the rest of Isabela, Ifugao, Mt. Province, Benguet, La Union and Ilocos Sur.
Pagasa said monsoon rains will continue over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and Western Visayas.
