Roxas not letting go of Poe
Interior Secretary Manuel “Mar” Roxas II is not letting go of Sen. Grace Poe.
“We all have different opinions. Maayos naman ang paguusap namin ni Senator Poe at tuloy tuloy ang aming komunikasyon,” Roxas said when asked for his comment to those telling him to “let go” of Poe.
The Liberal Party standard-bearer said this after the memorial Mass for former Sen. Agapito “Butz” Aquino at the La Salle Green Hills chapel in Mandaluyong City on Friday.
House Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr. earlier told Roxas to let go of Poe if she would not accept the offer to run with him for vice president.
Liberal Party has yet to name its candidate for vice president, but Roxas has openly expressed his desire to run with Poe.
While Poe has yet to accept Roxas’ invitation, she’s been attending meetings with Nationalist People’s Coalition, the second largest political party after LP, with Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero.
