Several roads closed in CAR, Cagayan due to ‘Ineng’

Several roads in the Cordillera and Cagayan regions have been closed due to floods and slides, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said on Friday.

In a situational report, the roads that are not passable to all types of vehicles include:

  • Benguet-Nueva Vizcaya Road, K0271 + 800, Guisset, Itogon— due to slides
  • Baguio-bua-Itogon Road, K0261 + 3300, Goldfield, Poblacion— due to slides
  • Gurel-Bokod-Kabayan-Buguias Road, K0314 + 750 and K0315 + 500 Bugao Bila, Bokod— due to slides
  • Apayao-Ilocos Norte Road, Bunot Section, Brgy. Parina— due to slides
  • Claveria-Calanasan Road, Brgy. Sta. Elena Calanasan— due to slides
  • Balbalan-Pinukpok Road, Dao-Angan Section— due to slides
  • Mt. Province-Cagayan via Tabuk-Enrile Road— due to slides
  • JCT. Talubin Barlig Natonin-Paraseles-Calanan Road, Talubin section— due to slides
  • Baguio-Bontoc Road, Pactil and Gonogon Section— due to slides
  • Mt. Province-Ilocos Sur Road, Cabungan and Dawdawan Section— due to slides
  • Abusag Overflow Bridge, Baybayog-Sane Jose Baggao Abusago-Dalin-Sta. Margarita Road— due to floods

At least 377 persons were pre-emptively evacuated in Brgy. Caroan, Gonzaga; Brgy. Balatubat, Calayan; and Brgy. Cimbaluca, Sta. Teresita in Cagayan due to the typhoon, the NDRRMC said.

Pre-emptive evacuation is ongoing in Baguio City, Benguet province, and Kalinga due to continuous rains in the past 24 hours.
