Community Chest marks 66th year

As part of its 66th anniversary celebration, the Community Chest Foundation Inc. (ComChest) will sponsor the First Interfaith Breakfast Forum on Aug. 28 at 7 a.m. in the Constellation Room of the Diamond Hotel on Roxas Boulevard, Manila.

The forum, on the theme “The Social Responsibility of the Church,” is in line with ComChest declaring 2016 as National Social Responsibility Year. The event will be a gathering of faith-based organizations that will discuss the involvement of the Church in present-day social issues.

Former Auxiliary Bishop of Manila and Novaliches Bishop Emeritus Teodoro Bacani will be the guest speaker. Bacani is expected to talk on how the Church is challenged by urgent social issues and concerns and how faith-based organizations could deepen their sense of caring and sharing.
