The Senate blue ribbon subcommittee marked its yearlong investigation on corruption allegations against Vice President Jejomar Binay with another expose expected to be presented at the resumption of the hearing this Thursday, this time, in connection with the alleged “ghost” or dead senior citizen beneficiaries in Makati City.
Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, who initiated the Senate probe against Binay, earlier said that they would expose in the hearing the alleged “ghost” senior citizens of Makati during the incumbency of the Binays.
Trillanes said the “whole racket” amounted to more than P100 million.

Among those invited at the resumption of the hearing were Justice Secretary Leila de Lima, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Virgilio Mendez, Immigration Commissioner Siegfred Mison, officials of the Mieriras Realty and Development Corporation and Victor Limlingan, chairman of the Reginal Capital Development Corp.
Limlingan is the brother of Binay’s alleged dummy and bagman, Gerry Limlingan, who was cited in contempt and ordered arrested by the Senate for failing to attend the subcommittee’s hearings. Maila Ager/IDL
