A woman visiting a neighbor at the Pasay City Jail was arrested on Wednesday after she was caught hiding a plastic sachet of suspected “shabu” inside her private part on Wednesday afternoon.
Officers of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) said the 33-year-old woman placed the contraband inside a condom, which she hid inside her private part.
Based on the initial investigation of Jail Officer I Joel Reyes, the woman arrived at the city jail around 2 p.m. to visit her neighbor, Jefferson Garin, who has been serving his jail sentence for selling drugs.
When she submitted herself for inspection prior to entering the detention facility, Reyes said they asked her to take off her pants since she was looking nervous and shaky.
The authorities said she eventually surrendered a sachet of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) wrapped with a condom and inserted in her private part.
The woman admitted that she was only asked by a certain “Mark,” her neighbor to give the drugs and the other items to Garin in exchange for a P900 fee. She added that she only agreed to the setup because she needed money because her father was recently hospitalized.
The suspect is set to be turned over to the Pasay City’s anti-illegal drugs office for violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act. Maricar B. Brizuela, Philippine Daily Inquirer
