Families and friends of the late former senator Agapito ‘Butz’ Aquino gathered at the Senate on Wednesday for a special mass offered by the chamber.
Aquino’s wife, Popsy, and son, Robert, were among the family members present for the mass which was officiated by military bishop Leopoldo Tumulak.
Incumbent and former senators attended the mass for Aquino.
Aquino, who died Monday at the age of 76, served as a senator from 1987 to 1995. He was also the representative of the 2nd district of Makati from 1998 to 2007.
