Pagasa issues thunderstorm warning for parts of NCR, nearby areas

The state weather bureau issued a thunderstorm warning for parts of the National Capital Region (NCR) and nearby provinces as heavy rains and strong winds prevailed on Tuesday afternoon.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) issued the advisory at 3:05 p.m.

The public is warned to watch out for heavy rains, strong winds, lightning and the possibility of flash floods.

According to Pagasa, thunderstorms may persist within the next two hours over Metro Manila (Pasig, Mandaluyong, Makati, Taguig, portion of Quezon City); Rizal (Taytay, Tanay, Cainta, Angono, Binangonan, Morong, Teresa, Baras, Antipolo, Cardona, Rodriguez); Batangas (Malvar, Ibaan, Lobo, Taysan, Rosario, San Jose, Cuenca, Mataas na Kahoy, Sto.Tomas); Laguna (Luisiana, Majayjay); Bulacan (Doña Remedios, Norzagaray); Tarlac (Capas, Bamban); Pampanga (Floridablanca, Lubao); Bataan (Hermosa, Dinalupihan); Cavite; Nueva Ecija, and Quezon provinces.
