Man found dead along Naguilian Road in Benguet
BAGUIO CITY – A man was found dead along Naguilian Road in Sablan, Benguet on Monday, police said.
Superintendent Jaime Rodrigo Leal, chief of the Scene of the Crime Operations (Soco) of the Cordillera regional police, said a Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) worker found the body at a mountainside in Barangay Banangan, 5 meters down from Naguilian Road, at 10 a.m.
He said the victim was in his late 20s and was wearing denim shorts, a yellow shirt and a red and black jacket with hood.
Leal said the neck had a ligature mark, suggesting the victim was strangled.
Police did not find any identification document but the body bore three tattoos –- “Love Hustling” and “Bhea Micz” on the chest, and “BNG” on the right thigh.
Leal said “BNG” is an acronym for “Bahala na Gang.” Kimberlie Quitasol, Inquirer Northern Luzon
