Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms on Thursday, the state weather bureau said.

Aldczar Aurelio of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said by phone that it is possible that Metro Manila will experience on Thursday the same localized thunderstorm that prevailed Wednesday morning.

Thunderstorm on Wednesday caused traffic, heavy rain and floods in parts of Metro Manila.

Light to moderate winds blowing from the southwest will prevail over Extreme Northern Luzon and coming from the southeast to south over the rest of the country.

Batanes Group of Islands may experience occasional rains due to the southwest monsoon, Pagasa added.

The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate. IDL
