PRC announces physical, occupational therapy board exam results

A total of 550 out of 868 examinees passed the recent physical therapist licensure examination, while 107 out of 170 passed the occupational therapy board exam, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Tuesday.

Data from PRC showed that Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (94.23 percent), Velez College (92.19 percent), University of Santo Tomas (88.76 percent), and De La Salle University-Health Sciences Institute (84.13 percent) emerged as top-performing schools in the PT exam.

UST is the lone top-performing school in the OT exams after recording an 80.33-percent passing rate, or equivalent to 49 passers out of 61 examinees.

The PRC requires 50 or more examinees and with at least 80-percent passing rate for a school to be declared as top-performing.

Kevin Velasco of Velez College topped the PT exam with an 86.95-percent passing rate, while Cesar Llanto III of the same school topped the OT exam with an 82.80-percent passing rate. Yuji Gonzales
