Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region, and the provinces of Mindoro, Palawan, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Bataan, Pampanga and Zambales will have occasional rain on Monday, the state weather bureau said.
This is due to the southwest monsoon or habagat that is prevailing over Luzon and the Visayas, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
Cloudy skies with light to moderate rain and isolated thunderstorms are expected over the Eastern Visayan Region and the rest of Luzon.
Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms will prevail over Mindanao and the rest of the Visayas.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest going south will prevail over Luzon and the Visayas where coastal waters will be moderate to rough, Pagasa said.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the southeast going south forming slight to moderate seas.
