Palace: We can hold our heads up high
Malacañang on Friday tried to soothe the Filipinos’ broken hearts by saying that despite losing to China in the bid to host the Fiba World Cup in 2019, “We put our best foot forward and we can hold our heads up high.”
“We will continue to promote the Philippines as an investment, tourism and events destination. We commend our Philippine delegation headed by Secretaries (Albert) del Rosario and (Ramon) Jimenez, and Mr. Manuel V. Pangilinan for their spirited endeavor,” Communications Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. said in a statement.
