Following President Benigno Aquino III’s endorsement of Interior Secretary Manuel “Mar” Roxas II, the Liberal Party presidential bet has called on Senator Grace Poe to be his running mate.

Roxas and Poe were among the personalities considered by Aquino to be the standard bearer of the administration coalition. However, he chose Roxas who he said is ready for the presidency.
Poe, who is reportedly considering running with Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero, thanked Aquino for considering her. Hours before Roxas urged her “to join this tandem,” Poe said she was willing to talk to Roxas.
