UST accepts Krisel Mallari in Accountancy program

The University of Santo Tomas (UST) on Tuesday allowed Krisel Mallari to enroll in its BS Accountancy program.

In a phone interview, Dean Patricia Empleo, of the UST’s Alfredo M. Velayo-College of Accountacy, told INQUIRER.net that as of Tuesday afternoon, Mallari was already processing her enrollment papers.

Empleo said the certificate of good moral character (GMC) issued to Mallari by her former school Sto. Niño Parish School in Quezon City and other credentials were deemed valid by the University’s legal advisers.

Mallari initially intended to enroll last July 31, but a university council had to study the matter because of notations on her GMC certificate, which was issued “with reservation,” “under protest” and with “full intent to assail the legality, validity and authority” of the Court of Appeals.
