As far as the Sto. Niño Parochial School is concerned, they have complied with the Court of Appeals order to issue a “good moral certificate” to Internet-famous salutatorian Krisel Mallari.

“There is no defiance to the Court of Appeals order. We issued the certificate. The [CA] order did not dictate what to write,” said the school’s lawyer Maritoni Renee Resurreccion in a phone interview on Monday.

Resurreccion insisted that the school has complied with the court order, after being informed of yet another manifestation filed in the appellate court by the camp of Mallari, this time questioning the certificate issued by the school on Thursday.

Resurreccion said that on Friday, their camp even filed a compliance report with the Court of Appeals, and gave the court a copy of the issued certificate.

“Now, if they will insist [for a certificate] in the manner and substance they want, then maybe they should just take over our hands,” the exasperated lawyer said. “It’s already against [the school
officials’] liberty,” she added.
