“Unang-una walang kredibilidad si VP Binay mamuna ng kahit anong pagkukulang nitong administrasyon na ito,” Trillanes said in an interview.

(Firs of all,  VP Binay has no credibility to criticize any of the shortcomings of  this administration.)

“While I admit may mga kakulangan itong administration na ito but hindi dapat si VP Binay ang mamumuna dahil wala syang  kredibilidad at sandamakmak yung kaso nya ng pangungurakot,”  he said.

(While  I admit  that this administration has shortcomings, it should  not be VP Binay  who should criticize  it  because  he has no credibility  and  he has been facing corruption  cases.)

It was  Trillanes who initiated the Senate  investigation  into the corruption  allegations  being hurled at Binay.

“Wala akong nakikitang reason para  paniwalaan sya ngayon kasi he lost  it (I see no reason why we should  believe him now  because he lost it). Wrong messenger. Right message for some,  wrong messenger for all,” the senator added.

Meanwhile, Senate  President  Franklin Drilon chose to shrug off Binay’s accusations  against  the Aquino administration.

“That is expected, this is already the political season,” Drilon said when sought for comment.

Pressed further, the Senate leader simply said: “ That is expected of an opposition leader.”
