Pagasa: Thunderstorm affecting Metro Manila, nearby provinces
The state weather bureau issued a thunderstorm warning over Metro Manila and neighboring provinces on Saturday afternoon.
In a 1:59 p.m. advisory posted on its social media pages, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) warned residents of heavy rain, strong winds, lightning, and possible flashfloods.
Pagasa said thunderstorm is affecting a portion of Quezon City, Meycauayan, Marilao, and Obando in Bulacan, Sta. Maria, Famy, Siniloan, Mabitac, Victoria, Calauan, and San Pablo in Laguna, Candelaria, Dolores, and Tiaong in Quezon, and Binangonan, Rizal.

Thunderstorm in other portions of the said areas is also expected within the next two hours, Pagasa added.
At 2:07 p.m., Pagasa said Cagayan de Oro City is also experiencing moderate to heavy rains, while light to moderate rains are affecting Samar and Negros. Yuji Gonzales/IDL
